A Prayer for the New Year

We at Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of St. Louis wish you a blessed 2024. Amid the joys and the sorrows that we experience this year, may we always remember that we await the blessed hope and look for the life of the world to come.

Let us offer a prayer for the new year:

Remember us, O God;

from age to age be our comforter.

You have given us the wonder of time,

blessings in days and nights, seasons and years.

Bless your children at the turning of the year

and fill the months ahead with the bright hope

that is ours in the coming of Christ.

You are our God, living and reigning, forever and ever.

R/. Amen.

Photos: Wreaths Across America

We are pleased to share photos from the Wreaths Across America events held at Calvary Cemetery and Resurrection Cemetery in December. The occasion brought community members together to remember deceased veterans by laying wreaths at their gravesites. As these images show, it was a moving way to honor the men and women who have served our country.

Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of St. Louis welcomes every connection for remembrance, and we thank the organizers, sponsors, and volunteers who made these events possible.

Our Latest Short Film: “A Time for Compassion”

“It just relieves family members if they know ahead of time what dad’s wishes were, or what mom’s wishes were, regarding their funeral and burial.”

Through our ministry, Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of St. Louis shows compassion for the living. We have a legacy of meeting the needs of people where they are today, with pre-planned arrangements, at-need responsiveness, and ample information best to address timely concerns. We equip and empower our team to address the needs of the grieving in a compassionate, respectful manner.
